“Set in the pride of place on Richmond’s Market Square, The Kings Head is a beautiful classic Georgian building which has recently been lovingly restored by The Coaching Inn Group, to its former glory. Whilst it still has all of the quirks and character you might expect from a 300 year old building, it also has all of those modern touches to ensure your stay is as relaxing and luxurious as possible.

Here at The Kings Head, we believe that our team is the beating heart of our business and we are blessed to have the most fantastic one. All of our team members are incredibly passionate about not just providing somewhere to stay, eat or drink, but delivering an experience for all of our guests regardless of the occasion.

“The Coaching Inn Group is proud to invest in its people, which I’ve been fortunate to have been a part of myself. I began my career with the group as a part-time bar person, then with support and excellent training, I moved through the ranks up to General Manager level. Now I’m lucky enough to be able to help others through their own journey and over the past two years alone, we have put over 120 people though apprenticeships and qualified training courses. There are also a variety of management training courses and bespoke training for everything from wine to cocktail making. Our talented brigade of Chef’s here at The Kings Head are totally dedicated in their quest to produce the finest dining experiences to you, our guests, whether it be a slice of cake with our fantastic coffee or a fabulous evening meal. You can rest assured that the team will be working incredibly hard to produce the finest dishes, using the best possible ingredients.

Here at the Coaching Inn Group we recognise this passion and true dedication to their chosen career and wanted to help our chef’s harness this. That is why we have recently launched our very own Chef Academy!

This Academy will help us to continue to support the development of our Kitchen teams at all levels. I have already been blown away by the current group of aspirant chef’s, these guys are going to make fine future Head Chefs of our Coaching Inn’s indeed!!!
